Every wedding of course holds a special place in my heart, but this one really takes the cake — pun intended because the bride is a kickass baker. Back in 2018, I met Rebecca at a calligraphy class and we’ve been best friends ever since. When she asked me to photograph her wedding down in California, I about fainted in excitement.

Each year, I maybe take 1-2 senior portrait sessions. And this is my public announcement that I want more! These are so fun + celebrating such a huge milestone in life. Emilie wanted to get the best of both worlds for her photos: an urban feel, and the Oregon beauty. Thankfully, Portland gives us the best access to all types of backdrops.

After shooting Maegan + Kyle’s engagement photos, and TWO different weddings with them there, these two have become the people I have photographed the most. By the time their summer wedding came around, we were close friends, which makes this wedding even sweeter.

This was my last photoshoot before Oregon shutdown due to the pandemic. I’m so glad it was with these two incredible humans. Karen + Jared are two insanely talented + creative people. It was an absolute blast to run around the Capitol Mall area in peak cherry blossom blooms.
